House Cup Reading Challenge UPDATE

If you missed it, I decided to take part in a truly epic reading challenge that is running from October 15 – November 12. You can read more about it, and see my TBR for the challenge HERE.

So instead of my usual Monday reading update, I thought I would post an update on how I am doing with the challenge instead! I knew when I took this on that I wouldn’t be able to complete all 20 reads in the allocated time. Unfortunately I just don’t get enough reading time for that many books in one month, however with just a week left to go I think I have done pretty damn well!

Over the space of the challenge so far I have read a total of 10 books. 10 books in three weeks! For someone that usually reads 3-5 a month (5 being an amazing month), I am pretty impressed with myself. And with one week left I think I will be able to tick a few more off the list!

Books read so far…

First Year: The View from Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg
Second Year: Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith
Third Year: Drowned by Nichola Rielly
Fourth Year: Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
Fifth Year: Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
Sixth Year: Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
Seventh Year: Teardrop by Lauren Kate
Hufflepuff: Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines
Occlumency: Waterfall by Lauren Kate
Death Eater: Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz

So 10 books in and 10 to go. As I said, I don’t think I’m going to be able to polish off the last 10 in just 1 week, but I will definitely be able to finish a few.Β Doing this challenge has really pushed me into making sure to find more time to read. Not only have I read more books than usual, it helped me complete my Goodreads goal for the year (more on that later!).

I am about to pick up Four by Veronica Roth, as it has literally sat on my TBR shelf for years so I figured this was a good time to finally read it and cross it off the never ending list! Hopefully I’ll be able to knock a few more off that list very soon too.

Are any of you participating in this challenge?
If so, how are you doing so far?
If not, have you ever taken part in a reading challenge before?
