It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #2
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme to share what you recently finished reading, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan on reading next. It’s an awesome way to connect over books and to find out about new books for your TBR! This weekly post is hosted by the wonderful Bookdate.
What I Read Last Week!
Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare
So I did not complete my mission of finishing this before Lord of Shadows arrived with me. But that’s okay! I actually really enjoyed taking my time with this and reading it at a slow and steady pace. Being back in Emma and Julians world was so lovely, that I stuck around as long as I could.
I thought I loved this book the first time I read it, but it was even better the second time. Hopefuly I will be rereading all the Shadowhunter books in the near future, so I wonder if my appreciation will grow even more for Lady Midnight the third time around.
Lord of Shadows – Cassandra Clare
Oh my goodness, I am so excited for this. Even more excited than I was last week when it arrived at my door. With Lady Midnight fresh in my mind I am so eager to get into this book and find out more and more! However I am determined to take it slow and steady like I did with Lady Midnight.
I want to savour every word, specially with such a long wait ahead for the next installment. I never thought when I started reading The Mortal Instruments it would lead to so many stories and characters to fall in love with.
The Upside of Unrequited – Becky Albertalli
After some of the intense fantasy I have been reading over the last few months I felt like I needed a contemporary.Something a little lighter that I can get through quite quickly before I dive into another crazy and complicated Fantasy world.
This was the book included in the April ‘Head Over Heels’ Owl Crate. It sounds like a super fun and cute read which is exactly what I am looking for. I have never been disappointed by an Owl Crate book, so I’m expecting this to be lovely.
What are you reading this week? Anything exciting coming up next for you?
